Welcome to the City of Tuscumbia’s
Accounting/Treasurer Department. The
Accounting/Treasurer Department is responsible
for planning, directing and coordinating the
activities relating to accounting, debt
management, treasury functions, sales tax
administration, payroll and purchasing. To set
forth control functions, desired objectives,
develop procedures, and propose changes in
existing methods. The Accountant/Treasurer acts
as custodian of all funds and keeps an accurate
record of the funds of all departments showing
accurately the financial condition of the City
of Tuscumbia. Adequate books and records are
maintained in accordance with accounting
standards generally accepted in the United
States.
The 2005-06 Budget is approximately $6 million
of which approximately $3.2 million is allocated
to payroll.
